Can technology actually change the future of raving through the lens of Anyma

With the rise of technological advancements in our everyday life, we can also expect to see the effect of technology on raves and music festivals. In this blog, Monarch Street explores how technology can affect the future of raving through the lens of Mattero Maelleri’s project Anyma.

Matteo Maelleri, the co-founder of Afterlife and one-half of the renowned DJ duo Tale of Us, has shown the techno and house community how technology can change the future of raving and music festivals. With their latest project, Anyma, Maelleri and his collaborator Alessio De Vecchi are exploring the definition of fine arts.

Melleri describes Anyma as a mixed-media concept where art and music are intertwined, resulting in an immersive and transformative experience. It goes beyond mere entertainment and delves into the realm of fine art, presenting a story that unfolds within the energetic atmosphere of a festival. The project explores the dynamic interplay between technology, nature, and humanity, weaving a tapestry of utopic and dystopic elements that challenge our perceptions and ignite our imagination.

Malleri created a new audio-visual experience for the techno and house community and leveraged blockchain to finance the project. Some of the visuals used in the project are being sold as NFT, where each NFT is a single EP. Monarch Street believes the project depicts the true definition of innovation. Anyma is setting a precedent for the future of raving and festivals. And we can not wait to see how this inspires other artists and what other artists might come up with.
